Intro to Business

An Engineer's Neverending Challenge

“Building a Business” Podcast

For the past few days literally doing nothing productive in Korea, I have decided to move myself forward. Thinking what I could do, I chose iTunes U—a podcast service in which Apple started to provide University lectures. Lacking basic concepts and terminology related to Business and the whole Economic side, I know I had a hard time dealing with the “B type people” for a bit. Although this podcast mainly talks about building a business and sustaining it, it goes over the basics such as, but not limited to, protecting IP (Intellectual Property), managing business plans, and financial concepts. This course basically sounds like the course I took last semester at Wash U, BME Concepts to Market, except the one I took focuses more on the technical side. Anyhow, I would like to summarize some of the stuff I catch in the lectures in the following few posts. I am not sure whether I will be able to stick with doing this for a long time, but having listened to some of the lectures already, it seems like the content is useful and would be beneficial to write it down in the long run.
